Gordon’s Resignation A Plus for Florida Racing
Some schmuck with a computer and internet access wrote the following:
(July 17, 2011) – Apparently there were several saddened members of the Florida HBPA board after it was announced that Sammy Gordon had resigned as president of the organization the other day. But it was good news for Florida racing and for the membership, since seven years of chicanery, secret negotiations, a lack of transparency and a general flouting of the organization’s by-laws – hopefully – will come to an end.
It will be an even sadder day if new president Phil Combest opts to continue running the FHBPA as his own dictatorship the way Gordon did.
Sammy resigned for what he called “personal reasons,” and it wouldn’t be a great surprise if somewhere down the road, very soon, we find out that those personal reasons all involved his underhanded, nefarious dealings while “leading” the FHBPA. If this was a few months ago, I’m sure the detractor squad would come out in force, emailing about what a wonderful leader Sammy was, and what an idiot I am to defame him. But I think those people don’t read this anymore.
Sammy was a poor leader whose personal interests topped everything else and it could signal a new era in Florida if Combest doesn’t make the mistake of continuing in Gordon’s footsteps. It’s up to the other board members to keep a tight rein on him, and prevent that from happening.
My opinion is plain and simple. You’re an asshole. You are irrelevant. The only people who read your biased crap are those who want to see what a has-been has to say with misguided and insane comments. You are the laughing stock of the racing world, except for Gene Stevens, who nose is so brown from sticking it up your ass. Your like the rats coming out of a sewer. Please tell us all again about your sick ideas on how to save racing, please…Can’t figure out how not one racing official has jumped on your insane ideas. How is that possible? Now with Sammy gone I am sure that ALL your ideas can be implemented. Instead of vague innuendos like “seven years of chicanery, secret negotiations, a lack of transparency and a general flouting of the organization’s by-laws – hopefully – will come to an end.”
Tell us all Mr. Dick Man, exactly what chicanery, secret negotiations, lack of transparency and the flouting of the organizations by-laws are you talking about. Have to gone to the Florida attorney general with these accusations? Of course not. You have no spine. You would rather hide behind you computer keyboard than actually bring these allegations to the attention of law enforcement. Bernie Dick Man..A Schmuck….
